I really have had enough of all these unfortunate happenings to my life while living in New Zealand. My life is tampered with obstructions everyday, someone has stopped me trying to reveal what has happened to me while in the hospital during my four and a half months' enforced stay there. Yes, I was kept in captivity for four and a half months in the Mental Health unit of Auckland hospital under the pretext that I won't be safe in the outside world. Well, I have travelled to Hong Kong several times and to France twice just before I was taken to the hospital and I have been perfectly safe. Why they use that to keep me in the hospital? If the New Zealand government want to me stay, it's easy, just treat me well, allow me my rights as a citizen, let me have freedom of speech, freedom to decide, freedom to work, freedom to choose where to go and where to stay. Let me reiterate what I have said, I have chosen to come back to New Zealand and to make this place my home and of course I will do my best to contribute to the society, to be a good citizen, to abide by the laws, to vow my fidelity to this country and if all these do not suffice to live freely and comfortably here then please let me know that I am not wanted to stay, then I will leave. I am sure there are other countries that welcome me. Although I like the life style here, the people here but there are limits, please don't push me to devastation and have to make a decision which I believe will be a loss for myself and to New Zealand. I have much to offer to any country I pledge my allegiance to.

I have just posted my thoughts and comments on how I have been treated by the New Zealand government and yet it is gone. Please don't tamper with my life anymore. I thought New Zealand is a free country, there is freedom of speech, freedom to live my life, freedom to make my own decisions, freedom to choose to stay, and freedom to voice my opinions, but to my great disappointment I am living in a dictatorial society in a so-called democratic country, shame on you New Zealand! I have said if l am not welcome here let Luxon tell me face-to-face or send me a written deportation and not to make my life so difficult such that I give up my residence here. Well, I am not leaving and see just how difficult you are going to make my life!

AuthorI started late to become a writer, after I graduated from the University of Auckland at the age of 57. It all began when one of my articles was first published in Muse, a magazine in Hong Kong. I just finished my first novel Tree which is about Chinese immigrants here in New Zealand. Being bipolar it hasn't been easy but I'm proud to have broken the vicious cycle and begin to enjoy life. I'm glad to have survived to this age and be able to live a most fulfilling life. Categories |
